#299: Tell us about a habit you’d like to break. Is there any way it can play a positive role in your life?

Procrastination when it comes to household chores. I’d love to think of chores as a positive – focus on the great outcome once it’s been completed, right?! – although unfortunately, it’s never occurred to me that way. I’d much rather be learning a new skill, building on my existing ones, working on my career, reading, catching up on the latest Big Bang Theory episodes… there’s just so many other things I’d rather be doing!

Could it play a positive role in my life… I honestly have no idea! Any suggestions fellow bloggers?

The zone

#153: Tell us about your favourite way to get lost in a simple activity — running, chopping vegetables, folding laundry, whatever. What’s it like when you’re in “the zone”?

Some call them simple tasks, I call them mundane tasks! So, when I have washing up to do, dinner to prepare or, most recently, having to hand wash all my clothes in the bath (whilst we wait for a new washing machine to arrive!), I open up Spotify and sing to my heart’s content! I find that there’s no better way to make time go quicker, than to preoccupy your mind with your favourite tunes!

I couldn’t really explain what it’s like when I’m in “the zone” purely because I’m in the zone. It’s almost trance-like! I know what I need to do and I just get it done. Simples.
