Hear no evil

#335: Tell us about a conversation you couldn’t help but overhear and wish you hadn’t.

You can always help overhearing… put your headphones in! Well, that’s what I do when I know I shouldn’t be listening to a certain conversation.

Apologies for the shortness in today’s prompt – I’ve injured my left wrist somehow (it’s swollen and slightly discoloured, aside from being incredibly painful), so typing one handed is taking forever.

Express yourself

#297: Tell us about a time you couldn’t quite get your words or images to express what you wanted to express. What do you think the barrier was? For bonus points, try again.

Right now… Literally, I cannot seem to think of one specific moment where I have been unable to express myself properly. The only minor things I can think of have been due to language barriers (I.e. Not speaking each other’s language sufficiently enough for the conversation to continue on that topic).

Express Yourself

#114: Have you ever had a random encounter or fleeting moment with a stranger that stuck with you?

I’ve spoken to many a stranger in my time but I unfortunately don’t have one that stands out from the rest. I mostly end up talking to strangers when there are train delays… I guess it’s a common thing that we can all relate to at the time, so frequently start the conversation with a bit of venting. Although, thinking about it, I have also struck up conversations with strangers whilst in queues (for anything) or of course, at networking events. Meeting strangers (in controlled environments) is the best as you never know what you’ll get nattering about!
