BFBS Creative
As Senior Copywriter, I supported all aspects of the agency and its – mainly Defence-based as well as commercial – clients through clear, concise, and consistent copy, from video and graphic animation script creation to proofreading and editing reports, brochures, social media posts, and more.

National Geographic Kids
Over three and a half years, I went from intern to Editorial and Marketing Assistant, generating informative and entertaining copy for print and digital use through interviews and meticulous research. I also proofread each issue to ensure every page was ready to be published and seen by thousands of children.

Make Honey
I wrote and edited cloud computing content for this communications agency’s B2B and B2C tech and consumer electronic clients for two and a half years. Deliverables included white papers, blog posts, SEO website copy, and client newsletters, all of which were produced and edited using US English.

PetsRadar
Acting as a Contributing Writer for more than two years, I produced news articles, product reviews, and long-form advice and guidance pieces surrounding pets and their care. All content was SEO-focussed and, often, tailored to a US audience.

The Week Junior
For just over three years, I pitched, researched, wrote, and fact-checked stories for this award-winning title as one of the original Staff Writers. I also helped launch and generate articles for the magazine’s annuals and the spin-off title, Science+Nature.

Animal Planet magazine
Every month I would source and pitch a host of captivating ideas that I would then develop into fact-filled features, informative short news stories, and entertaining puzzle pages for the title’s young audience, supporting the magazine and its content for 18 months.

BBC Wildlife
In 2020, I reviewed The Stubborn Light of Things by Melissa Harrison for the print magazine. In the same year, I was commissioned to write a news article on the update to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List, which was published online and across social media.

Eco Kids Planet magazine
For a little over a year, I was responsible for the creation and management of the content shared on Eco Kids Planet magazine’s Facebook and Instagram channels. I also contributed to the title’s website with relevant wildlife articles and generated the monthly subscriber survey.

Headlines
In 2014, whilst working at National Geographic Kids, I spent a day with Headlines – the communications and design agency that specialises in internal communications, member magazines and publishing – producing features for their website and short stories for their clients.

Mr & Mrs Smith
In 2013, I spent a week with the editorial team at the luxury travel publisher and hotel booking service to write, edit, and transfer copy – such as reviews, guides, and room descriptions – across the website. I also assisted in growing the content featured on their Pinterest profile.

Playbuzz
Now known as EX.CO (Content Creation Support), in 2019 I was commissioned to create and upload a series of animal themed quizzes to the quizzing platform. As content creator, I was awarded complete autonomy in the species and style of questions used to generate each individual quiz.

Dreams Come True
In 2019, I was commissioned to rewrite the copy featured on the Dreams Come True website – a national charity that fulfils dreams for children and young adults with serious and life-limiting conditions.
