Goal setting: how to do it and be held accountable

As I briefly mentioned last week, my main goal for this year is to continue running a successful freelance business all while being the best first-time mummy I can be. But what other goals do I have for 2022 and what are my top tips for how you can set your own goals for the year?

The golden hour

#300: 6:00AM: the best hour of the day, or too close to your 3:00AM bedtime?

I wouldn’t quite say that 6am is the best hour of the day – it’s when I have to get up for work and, at least lately, I’m quite reluctant to get out of my cosy bed! I can’t remember the last time I went to bed even remotely close to 3am… must have been back in my uni days no doubt. I don’t think I could function going to bed at 3am and then back up three hours later – sounds like a major headache!

If I had to chose the best hour of the day, on a weekday it would hands-down have to be 7pm, when I’m home in the warm. Whereas, on the weekend, that’s a toughie as there are quite a few best hours…

Ripped into the headline

#161: Write about something that happened over the weekend as though it’s the top story on your local paper.

WOMAN HAS BEST DAY OF HER LIFE

A woman claims to have had the best day of her life, even though she is only 25. On Saturday, she visited London’s Choccywoccydoodah branch with one of her closest friends and introduced two new “recruits” (as she calls them), her close friends boyfriend and another close friend from work. She was recognised immediately by staff due to how many times she visits and introduces new people to the wonders of Choccy. Everyone loved the cake, although there was no doubt in her mind that they wouldn’t… Favourite food. Favourite friends. If only there was a way to enjoy this event every weekend without getting incredibly obese and/or inducing diabetes.
